Bulls and Cows (also known as Cows and Bulls or Pigs and Bulls or Bulls and Cleots) is an old code-breaking mind or paper and pencil game for two or more players.
The numerical version of the game is usually played with 4 digits, but can also be played with 3 or any other number of digits.

One player selects cards to create a 4-digit secret number. Then, in turn, the other player try to guess their opponent’s number who gives the number of matches. If the matching digits are in their right positions, they are “bulls”, if in different positions, they are “cows”.

Bulls and Cows Game is also known as Master Mind.

One player selects a four digit number, sometimes all four digits can be different or some of the four numbers might be the same. Usually the other player attempts to guess the number sequence in 7 tries or less. The player who has devised the code displays total number of digits the guessing player guessed right – “Cow”, “Match” shows how many of those that exists were placed at the right spots – “Bull”.
